Before you book.
Useful details for roadside help and vehicle collections.
What details do you need for a recovery?
Your exact location, vehicle make and model, what has happened, and where you want the vehicle taken. Mention whether it rolls, steers and has keys, and any access restrictions.
Can every puncture be repaired?
No. A tyre must be assessed before a repair is agreed. Sidewall damage and some other types of damage require replacement. Tell us the tyre size and send a clear photo when making your enquiry.
Can you collect a non-running auction vehicle?
Yes, non-runner and salvage collections can be arranged subject to the vehicle condition, loading requirements and suitable transport availability. Tell us about locked wheels, steering faults, missing keys or significant damage before collection.
How quickly can you get to me?
Arrival times depend on where you are, the traffic and how busy we are, and we agree them with you before anything is booked. Send us your location on WhatsApp and we will reply with what we can arrange.
Can a vehicle be driven on trade plates?
Trade plate delivery is for suitable, roadworthy vehicles on permitted journeys. The vehicle must have the appropriate insurance and a valid MOT where required, unless exempt. A vehicle that is not roadworthy needs transported collection.
How much will the job cost?
Each job is quoted around the route, vehicle, urgency, access and loading requirements. Tyre enquiries also depend on tyre size, condition and replacement availability. The price and arrangements are agreed before the job is confirmed.
Which auctions do you collect from?
Collections can be arranged from Copart, IAA, BCA, Manheim, Aston Barclay, G3, John Pye and Wilsons Auctions, as well as independent sites. Site release and collection arrangements must be confirmed first.
How do I book?
Prepare your enquiry on this website, then send it to us. Nothing is booked until the job, the price and the timing have been agreed with you. Preparing an enquiry on this page does not send it until you choose to send it.
Where do you operate?
First Call Recovery 247 is a UK-wide service, not tied to one town or depot. Tell us where the vehicle is and where it needs to go, and we will confirm what we can arrange and when before you book.
Can you jump start my car?
Yes, we can help with a flat battery by jump starting suitable vehicles at the roadside. If the vehicle will not start, or the battery keeps going flat, recovery to a garage can be arranged. Tell us first if the vehicle is hybrid or electric, because their 12 V batteries have specific procedures.
Can you change a wheel for me?
Yes, we can fit your spare wheel where it is safe to do so. Not every vehicle carries a spare, and some wheels need a locking wheel nut key, so tell us what you have. If a spare is not an option we can discuss a replacement tyre or recovery.
Can you take my car for its MOT or service?
We can collect your car or van, take it to your chosen garage for its MOT, service or repair, and bring it back to you. Tell us the garage, the appointment time and where it should be returned to.
Do you handle supercars and prestige vehicles?
Yes, we are specialists in recovering and transporting supercars, performance cars and prestige vehicles. Tell us the make, model and registration, whether the car is low or lowered, and where it is going, and we will confirm how it will be loaded and moved before you book.
Can I email you?
We are moving with the times, so we do not use email. Everything is done on WhatsApp: message us, send photos and your location, and we will reply there. It is quicker for you and for us.
Can I follow my vehicle while it is being moved?
Yes. Ask us and we will arrange for you to receive the live location of your vehicle by WhatsApp while it is on the move, where the supplier is able to provide it.
Do you offer enclosed transport?
Yes, enclosed transport is available on request. Tell us when you enquire, and we will confirm availability, and the price, before anything is booked.
Tell us what needs moving.
Or what’s stopped you.
We’re moving with the times: no emails, everything on WhatsApp.
