Tell us before we attend

A jump start is not always the fix
A battery that keeps going flat may need replacing, and a faulty alternator or starter will not be solved by a jump start. If the vehicle will not start after a jump, or the problem keeps coming back, we can arrange recovery to a garage. Hybrid and electric vehicles have their own 12 V battery procedures, so tell us before we attend.
On a motorway or busy road?
Get yourself and your passengers out and well away from the traffic, behind the barrier where you can, and call 999 if you are in danger. Do not try to jump start a vehicle on a live carriageway.
Can you jump start my car?
Yes, we can help with a flat battery by jump starting suitable vehicles at the roadside. If the vehicle will not start, or the battery keeps going flat, recovery to a garage can be arranged. Tell us first if the vehicle is hybrid or electric, because their 12 V batteries have specific procedures.
Where do you operate?
First Call Recovery 247 is a UK-wide service, not tied to one town or depot. Tell us where the vehicle is and where it needs to go, and we will confirm what we can arrange and when before you book.
How much will the job cost?
Each job is quoted around the route, vehicle, urgency, access and loading requirements. Tyre enquiries also depend on tyre size, condition and replacement availability. The price and arrangements are agreed before the job is confirmed.
