Before a driven movement
- The vehicle must be roadworthy and appropriately insured.
- A valid MOT is required where applicable, unless exempt.
- Trade plates may be used only for permitted purposes.
- Driving adds the journey mileage to the vehicle.
- Non-roadworthy vehicles require transported collection.

Can a vehicle be driven on trade plates?
Trade plate delivery is for suitable, roadworthy vehicles on permitted journeys. The vehicle must have the appropriate insurance and a valid MOT where required, unless exempt. A vehicle that is not roadworthy needs transported collection.
