Who we are
This website is run by First Call Recovery 247, a UK-wide vehicle recovery, roadside help and vehicle transport service. In this notice, "we" means First Call Recovery 247. You can contact us about anything in this notice by messaging us on WhatsApp from this website.
What this website collects
The enquiry forms and the tyre finder run in your browser. What you type stays on your device until you choose to send it to us. You send it by opening WhatsApp from the button on the page and pressing Send there. We do not store form entries on our web server.
- Enquiry details. If you send us an enquiry, we receive the message you sent, which can include your name, vehicle, location and the job details, together with the phone number you used. We use it to reply, quote and carry out the job. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then performing it.
- Your location. The "Pin my current location" button asks your browser for your location only when you press it. The pin is added to your message only if you send it. You can remove it at any time before sending, and refuse the request in your browser.
- Web server records. Like every website, our server records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time. We use this to keep the site secure and working. These records are kept only briefly.
WhatsApp and phone
When you message or call us through WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes that conversation under its own terms and privacy notice. Please do not send anything sensitive that we do not need, such as payment card details.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website needs no cookies to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies unless you agree to them. When we use Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement, you will see a choice the first time you visit: Accept all, Reject all or Choose. Nothing from Google loads until you agree, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Needed. Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage on this device, so we do not ask on every page.
- Analytics (only if you accept). Google Analytics tells us which pages are visited and how people found us, so we can improve the website.
- Advertising (only if you accept). Google Ads tells us whether an advert led to a call, WhatsApp message or enquiry, and may show you our adverts again.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Google's own notice is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the people needed to do your job (for example a driver or a garage you have chosen), our service providers, and where the law requires. If you accept Google's cookies, Google receives the measurement data described above.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages and job records for as long as we need them to run the job, deal with any follow-up or complaint, and meet our legal and accounting duties, and no longer than necessary.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent you have given. Message us on WhatsApp and we will help. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
